If, on a Saturday afternoon in Ixelles, Brussels, you find yourself winding your way down the hill from the well-heeled crowds and bistros of the Sablon quartier, you might stumble across the new gallery Gauli Zitter. Located in a former antique shop on the quiet Rue Thérésienne, it’s a short walk from the designer boutiques of Avenue Louise in one direction and from the bustling hairdressers, restaurants and money-transfer offices of Chaussée de Wavre on the other. Add in the nearby European institutions and Royal palaces and you have Brussels in a nutshell, in all its extremes, variety and proximity.
