Marnie Slater is an artist, writer, organiser, researcher, educator and a fierce ambassador for all things queer, feminist and anti-racist in collaborative art making. What makes her art practice so special is the fact that she draws from all her different, often activist activities and processes those lived experiences into art, including all the ups and downs. It makes her art punctual, relevant, real, urgent, needed and most of all, a fresh breath in an art world overflowing with ego, objects, commodities and general production overflow.
