Online editor Bas Blaasse speaks with Canadian artist Charles Stankievech about his show ‘The Desert Turned to Glass.’ at KIN, a new commercial gallery in the center of Brussels.
At the heart of this exhibition is a 30-minute looping audio-visual installation featuring atmospheric footage of desolate, ominous environments. The installation, called Eye of Silence, is shown and projected in a large rectangular space that is open on the top and was built for the occasion inside the actual gallery.
