Re-enchanting Africa?
The 12th edition of the Dakar Biennial Dak’Art 12 opened in the Senegalese capital on the 3rd of May with the necessary pomp and circumstance. Since its inception in 1989, the Biennial became probably the most important recurrent art project on the African continent. Including a comprehensive ‘In’ and ‘Off’ program, the 2016 edition assembled more than 250 exhibitions, presentations or lectures, situated chiefly within Dakar.
